Introducing Celestix Cloud Edge Security 2.0 for Increased Security in DirectAccess Client Management

Celestix releases a new version of its Unified Remote Access appliance that manages the Microsoft Windows® Server 2012 R2 Remote Access platform from a brand new HTML 5 interface for cross compatibility from virtually any platform.

Fremont, California – March 3rd, 2015 – Celestix Networks, the leading provider of secure remote access connectivity solutions, today announced the global availability of Celestix Cloud Edge Security Appliance 2.0 (CESA 2.0). It delivers the world’s most deployed platform for DirectAccess and remote access roles within Microsoft Windows® Server 2012 R2. This new release enables organizations to manage the Windows® Server 2012 R2 remote access platform from a single HTML 5 web interface called Comet 2.0.

CESA 2.0 is a comprehensive remote access solution that addresses multiple network connectivity requirements on a single device. It is not only designed to provide secure remote access for both managed and non-managed clients, but it also enables hybrid cloud connectivity for hosted public cloud services.

Both, on and off-premises management is provided through the new web UI, which will work ubiquitously across a range of computers, tablets, smart phones and web browsers.

CESA 2.0 comes with a broad array of new features and enhancements including new wizards for rapid deployment of the key features, thus eliminating tedious shell commands.  Among other features is a new DirectAccess client management option. It allows administrators to enable/disable unwanted DirectAccess remote clients or devices in real-time, for increased security. It is the latest in a long line of value-added features from Celestix that are built upon Microsoft technology and delivered on the Celestix advanced hardware platform.

Axiad IDS, Inc., an Identity and Access Management (IAM) solution provider and a Celestix Value Added partner, enthusiastically welcomes the release of the Celestix CESA 2.0 Series appliances to support remote access initiatives for their customers.

“Businesses are often susceptible to significant data breaches, leading to compromised data records, and a larger damage to their reputation” said Jerome Becquart, VP of Operations, Axiad IDS, Inc.  “With Celestix CESA 2.0 range, customers can not only manage their users more effectively and securely, but also ensure that the users have secure remote access to their corporate network. The new Celestix appliances will enable us to expand our portfolio and address market needs beyond traditional VPNs” he added.

“With its Windows OS and DirectAccess support, we are providing the most comprehensive remote access platform in the market today, and a natural solution for migration for Microsoft UAG users. The release of CESA 2.0 represents a transformational step in simplifying configuration, enhancing management and improving security for Remote Access roles”, said Gabriele Sartori, CTO, Celestix Networks.
